Dvořák’s \u003cem\u003eIn Nature’s Realm\u003c\/em\u003e Overture, Op. 91, represents one of only a handful of works by the composer that Stock recorded, and On the Shores of Sorrento from Richard Strauss’ \u003cem\u003eAus Italien\u003c\/em\u003e, Op. 16, continues the CSO’s early recorded association with Strauss’ music.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe album concludes with Chausson’s Symphony in B-flat Major, Op. 20, one of only three recordings of the work made during the 78-rpm era. Stock makes the performance uniquely his own in the final movement, transferring a prominent chorale theme from solo trumpet to organ.
