Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet joins pianist and vocalist Michael Feinstein for Gershwin Rhapsody, a celebration of the music of George and Ira Gershwin that moves freely between piano duos, solo performances and song. Centered on music associated with Rhapsody in Blue, the album explores the elegance, wit and unmistakable jazz influence that helped define the Gershwins’ place in American music.

The program includes favorites such as “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “I Got Rhythm,” “Embraceable You,” “They Can’t Take That Away from Me” and “Our Love Is Here to Stay,” alongside music from Porgy and Bess. Thibaudet and Feinstein also perform Vincent Youmans’ “Tea for Two” in a Gershwin-inspired setting, and the album features Earl Wild’s virtuoso transformation of “Embraceable You.”
