Crossroads finds accordionist Ksenija Sidorova in dialogue with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and composers shaped by his enduring influence. Joined by Sinfonietta Riga under Normunds Šnē, this Alpha Classics release places Bach alongside contemporary works by Sergey Akhunov, Gabriela Montero and Dobrinka Tabakova.

At the center is Bach’s Concerto in D Minor, BWV 1052, newly transcribed for accordion and orchestra by Sidorova, revealing fresh colors and virtuosic brilliance. Akhunov’s Chaconne draws inspiration from Bach’s Violin Partita in D Minor, while Montero’s Beyond Bach and Tabakova’s Horizons extend the conversation into the present day.
