Released on ASO Media, the album features mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor in Lieberson’s luminous Pablo Neruda settings and highlights Spano’s long advocacy for contemporary American composers.

Theofanidis’s Symphony No. 1 was commissioned by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and premiered by Spano at Atlanta Symphony Hall in April 2009.
