The Chicago Principal (2-CD)

We offer studio and live recordings of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, featuring its music directors along with notable guest conductors, soloists and the Chicago Symphony Chorus. Most recent CSO titles are released on the Orchestra’s own label, CSO Resound, while classic and reissued recordings include releases on Decca, Deutsche Grammophon, RCA, Sony and other major labels. The Store also carries select recordings by recent guest artists and titled artists.

Most recordings are available on CD, with select titles offered as SACDs, digital downloads or video releases. Available formats vary by title and are listed on each product page.

Digital downloads are provided as MP3 files, typically at 320 kbps. Many titles also include a hi-res FLAC option, with bitrates that vary by recording. Available formats and audio specifications are listed in the Specifications tab on each product page.

Yes. Current-season subscribers and annual donors of $200 or more are eligible for a 15% discount at the Symphony Store. Eligibility is verified at checkout. For assistance applying your discount, contact symphonystore@cso.org.

Unused, unopened merchandise in its original condition may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery. Gift recipients are eligible for exchange or store credit only. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, except where required by law. Proof of purchase is required for all returns and exchanges.
