Founded in 2005, Pristine Classical specializes in bringing historic recordings back to life using cutting-edge digital technology. At the helm is Andrew Rose, previously a senior sound engineer at the BBC, with assistance from renowned historic audio engineers Mark Obert-Thorn, Ward Marston and Peter Harrison. Their growing discography of Chicago Symphony Orchestra recordings includes rare and historic performances by Frederick Stock, Désiré Defauw and Leopold Stokowski, as well as remarkable debuts by Erica Morini, Van Cliburn and more.
